Love Fills Me Up
During the holiday season there is often alot of consuming. We eat elaborate meals and goodies and drink festive beverages, we may spend money on fancy clothing or gifts for others. But do any of these 'things' really feed our souls? It seems to me that what we are searching for beneath all of our consuming is love. Love is like nourishment for our entire being. It sustains our spirit and wraps us in comfort in a way that nothing we put in our mouths or buy in a store can do. All the distractions and substances we seek are but substitutes for love, and our addictions the result of this seeking. The nourishing love of God and the Universe is the only substance that will satisfy our desires and still our relentless quests. We need not chase after anything! We are already complete, and we already have all the love we could ever desire, right here within our hearts.
Today, BE LOVE! Open your heart and feel all the love within you. Share it! Give it! Let it feed your spirit and quench your soul.
