The Alchemist
Hello, and Happy Thanksgiving! I am looking forward to my second piece of pumpkin pie tonight.
My book of the week is 'The Alchemist,' by Paulo Coelho. I can never keep this book in stock! Considering that my ideas of the week centre around following the heart and listening to its truth, I feel that 'The Alchemist' is appropriate at this time. I quote from the blurb on the back: "This story, dazzling in its powerful simplicity and inspiring wisdom, is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert is search of treasure buried in the Pyramids. I Listen To Myself
Many of us are accustomed to seeking guidance outside ourselves instead of going within, where the true answers are always found. If we listen to the wisdom of our heart, our emotions and our body, we need not seek answers from the world or from others.
Practice listening to yourself today. Before making a decision, check in with yourself and honour your truth. If something doesn't feel quite right, trust this! Your true Self will never lie.
