I Love My Darkness Too
Often this world teaches that we must hide those parts of ourselves we perceive as ugly or impure or frightening. Without the darkness there can be no light. Our darkness is calling for our love. Perhaps it wants to be acknowledged for the role it has played in our lives and the strength its lessons have helped us to cultivate. Love the darkness. Honour its gifts.
Practice sending love to your darkness and appreciate it for the role it has played in your life. Can you see the light that is born from this dark? Doesn't it feel better to shine a light in the dark places instead of holding onto to the darkness and hiding it away?
