I Dare To Be Seen

So many of us spend our lives in hiding. We build walls to protect ourselves from imagined hurts or wear masks that present an acceptable facade to others. It's not always easy to let ourselves be truly seen. What will the world think of us if we really show ourselves; our vulnerability, our innermost uglniess, our raging anger? Do we fear that we'll be locked up, abandoned, judged? Are we willing to take the risk, or are we only interested in living a safe and pretty life?
Practice allowing yourself to be seen. If you're angry, find a way to express it in a healthy way, without injuring another. If you need some quiet time, let others know. When another asks you how you are, tell the truth. Notice what you experience. Are your connections with others more meaningful?
