I Listen To Beautiful Music
I absolutely love this quote by Martin Luther King Jr.:
"Music is the art of the prophets, the only art that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us. "
Like art, music is an expression of the Divine. Music has the power to transport us to another dimension, the dimension of the heart, where time has no meaning and words become unnecessary. Music can tell of memories long forgotten and stir up feelings and emotions that have been hiding quietly, awaiting our attention, our recognition. Music tells a story. In every culture, in every family all around our world, music is bringing people together and connecting us all with its beautiful, soulful truth.
Take some time today to listen to music that you consider beautiful, music that moves you. Let yourself be transported beyond your mind, beyond your daily distractions and routine, to a place where you are free, your heart open and receptive.
