I Accept Myself Today, Just As I Am

True acceptance requires courage. It means letting go of our demands and expectations and shoulds, and relaxing into the reality of what is. Self acceptance is a gift we can give to our being. It is allowing ourselves to be exactly as we are, without judgement. Ultimately, it's our resistance to accept what is that causes our suffering. If we are experiencing anger, we can make a choice to accept this and know that it will pass. If we feel agitated, we can open into the agitation with compassion, remembering that this a changing state and not the truth of who we are.
Allow yourself to be exactly as you are today without judgement. Whatever you experience, try to let it be there and open into the feelings or emotions that may arise. You may wish to practice this in a meditation.
